Popis: Design velocity measures the movement of the boundary of a CAD model as it undergoes a change in shape (e.g. due to the change in the value of a parameter). This paper combines and enhances two methods of calculating design velocity and uses the resulting method to: i) re-parametrize a CAD model; ii) capture shear and twist deformation of a wing as a set of parameter values; iii) link CFD and FEM models with a common reference spine parametrization.
