Popis:	Flavonols are molecules of plant origin with diverse therapeutic properties. This work explored the synthesis and biological evaluation of flavonolate complexes with medicinally-relevant metals, namely: gallium, indium, and bismuth. Important structural features that determine the solubility and biological activity of the respective metal-flavonolate complexes were elucidated; providing a foundation for the rational design of effective metal-based antibacterial and anticancer agents.
