| Popis: | Twenty-two families who wanted their children to attend the hospital birth of a sibling were evaluated by a child psychiatrist consulting to the obstetrical service. Mothers were more enthusiastic about sibling attendance than were other family members. Children reported more anxiety about the experience than was recognized by their parents. The findings of this study do not support the unreserved endorsement of sibling attendance presented in some earlier reports. |
