| Popis: | Genus Mongolianella Mandelstam, in Galeeva, 1955 Type species: Mongolianella palmosa Mandelstam, 1956 Observations. This genus is widely distributed in the basins of India (Khosla & Sahni 2000; Whatley & Bajpai, 2000a, b and c; Bajpai & Whatley 2001; Whatley et al. 2003a, b and c; Khosla & Nagori 2005; Khosla et al. 2009a and Khosla et al. 2011). Khosla et al. (2009a) transferred this genus to Stenocypris Sars, (1889). In the present study, the species found was treated as belonging to the genus Mongolianella, but we emphasize the need for a comparative study with the forms described by Khosla et al. (2011).
