| Popis: | Phoxinus Rafinesque, 1820 Phoxinus Rafinesque, 1820:236 (type species: Cyprinus phoxinus Linnaeus, 1758). Pisciculus, Dralet, 1821: 35 (type species: Pisciculus varius Dralet, 1821). Phoxinus Agassiz, 1835: 37 (type species: Cyprinus phoxinus Linnaeus, 1758). Eulinneela Dybowski, 1916:101, 103 (type species: Cyprinus phoxinus Linnaeus, 1758). Nomenclatural note The genus Acahara Jordan & Hubbs, 1925 is currently considered as a junior synonym of Phoxinus Rafinesque, 1820 (Tan and Armbruster, 2018). However, the type species of this genus is Leuciscus semotilus Jordan & Starks, 1905 for which the valid name is Rhynchocypris semotilus (Jordan & Starks, 1905) (e.g. Lee and Sim 2017). By consequence, the genus Acahara Jordan & Hubbs, 1925 is a junior syno- nym of the genus Rhynchocypris Günther, 1889. Published as part of Denys *, Gaël P.
