We consider a higher order Sturm-Liouville boundary value problem (BVP) where the nonlinear term involves derivatives – such cases are seldom investigated in the literature due to the complexity introduced by the derivatives. A new technique is used to obtain existence criteria for at least one positive solution of the BVP.
