Popis: | The article interprets physical and mechanical properties of glass-fiber reinforcement concrete (GFRC) as a function of the reinforcement level and binder consumption. It also presents data on flexural and compression strength of GFRC. The correlation between long-term strain (creep and shrinkage) and the reinforcement level has been identified as well. We have established that adding glass fiber would cause significant growth of flexural strength accompanied, however, with a slight decrease in compressive strength. Fiber reinforcing reduces and shrinkage by almost twofold. Experiments have proved that adding high-reactivity metakaolin as modifier will lead to a greater increase in flexural and compressive strength than usage of microsilica or fulleroid nanomodifier. This relation also holds for glass fiber which is not alkali-resistant. The obtained results may be used to evaluate the effect of various modifiers on the properties of GFRC. |
