Popis: | Ovarian cancer is the fifth leading cause of cancer death in the United States, and contrib‐ utes significantly to the worldwide cancer burden [1]. The lack of gynecologic-specific symptoms and effective early detection methods for ovarian cancer leads to a preponder‐ ance of late-stage diagnoses. Ovarian cancer is a surgically-staged and treated disease, and the application of appropriate, guidelines-based treatment is currently the only option to re‐ duce ovarian cancer mortality [2]. |
