Popis: Academic monitoring is a program developed in universities that has great relevance in the academic life of the university student, since it allows the student monitor to experience early the daily practices of his future profession, where it becomes possible to discover or not true love. for teaching. In the program, the fellow participates in some activities, such as helping the teacher and colleagues. In this context, the present work aimed to present in a report form the positive results achieved by the monitor in higher education for its academic formation, aiming to improve the process of professional formation and development of the love of teaching. The experience gained as a student monitor was of great importance for the construction and intellectual gain. Therefore, the continuation of this practice in the academic environment is fundamental, but it needs to be improved, in order to contribute to the formation of the graduate in preparation for teaching.
