Popis: Not all well control problems occur while drilling. Many kicks occur while tripping due to swabbing or failure to fill the hole properly. Trip sheets are necessary to monitor the well for proper filling since a kick can occur before the well starts flowing. Detailed shut-in procedures are discussed. Classic pressure control procedures such as discussed in the previous Chapter Two do not work with the pipe off the bottom. Procedures to strip the pipe back to bottom are detailed so that the well can be controlled using classic pressure control procedures.
