Popis: | The fibrinolytic activity of uterine venous, peripheral venous, and arterial blood was examined in 18 patients at the time of cesarean section. Usually fibrinolytic activity was highest in the uterine venous blood and lowest in the arterial blood, suggesting the presence of local fibrinolytic activity in the uterus. Evidence of such activity was not present so long as a normal fetus and placenta were within the uterus and only appeared after delivery or when the fetus died in utero or the placenta became detached. |
