Popis:	Forty-two cases of infectious hepatitis were studied by means of peritoneoscopy and “guided” needle biopsy of the liver. Perihepatitis was found in 12 of these patients. One- to 15-mo. follow-ups were made of 17 selected from the group of 42 patients. Of the 17, 12 had prolonged clinical symptoms and 8 had perihepatitis. Two case reports illustrate characteristic symptoms. Perihepatitis recognized by peritoneoscopy is described as an aspect of the “posthepatitic syndrome.”
