Popis: | An epidemic disease, with symptoms of severe polyuria accompanied by thirst, anorexia, weakness, and fatigue, has been traced to contamination, by a strain of the fungus Rhizopus nigricans , of the staple millet grains of the people of Maharashtra, India. The disease was reproduced in Swiss albino rats given a pure culture of the fungus. |
