Popis: 1. Astymachus eximius Hayat Astymachus eximius Hayat in Hayat and Veenakumari 2015: 260 ��� 263. Holotype ♀, India, NCPM, not examined. Diagnosis. Female. Length, including ovipositor, 1.27 mm. Body generally yellow, frontovertex with two pale brown stripes, occiput and malar space pale brown; antenna pale yellow to dusky yellow, clava brown; thorax yellow with a pair of faint brown stripes dorsally; fore wing infuscate; TI ��� TV of gaster each with a narrow, pale brown cross band; head about 2�� as long as eye; palp formula 3 ��� 2; antenna with F1 ��� F5 anneliform; linear sensilla only on F6; clava 2-segmented; scutellum with about 13 setae; wings shortened, fore wing reaching less than halfway along gaster, well short of cercal plates; ovipositor about 3�� mid tibia and 2.2�� gonostylus. Male. Unknown. Biology. Unknown. Distribution. India (Karnataka). Material examined. None. Comments. Astymachus eximius is the only known species of Astymachus where the females are clearly brachypterous.
