The Arbor library simulates networks of morphologically detailed neurons. With the release of the Python bindings in 2020, the Arbor library has seen an uptick in usage. In this poster presentation, we demonstrate how Arbor is used to replicate the results published by Valderrama et al. in "Uncertainty Propagation in Nerve Impulses Through the Action Potential Mechanism". In this paper, the authors conduct a sensitivity analysis of the Hodgkin-Huxley (H-H) model, and two parameters of the H-H model are found to account for more than 90% of the fluctuations in neuronal response. We are able to use Arbor to obtain a near identical result, supporting the findings in the original publication. This replication study is meant to underline that Arbor is a capable tool in computational neuroscience, and is a perfect candidate for replicative studies on account of its ease of use and time to solution. |
