Popis: Introduction Acute coronary syndrome is a real diagnostic and therapeutic emergency. Multiple risk factors predispose to this disease which the mortality is still high in spite of the therapeutic advances. The aim of our work is to determine the profile of modifiable cardiovascular risk factors of the coronary patients. Material and methods This is a retrospective, descriptive study, in the cardiology department of the University Hospital of Marrakech, which included 177 patients, admitted for an acute coronary syndrome over a period of 16 months from January 2014. The collection Data was made from patients’ medical records. Results The average age in our series was 60±11 years with a sex ratio of 2. The hypertension was the most frequent risk factor in our series (56%), with predominance of stage I (75%) and masculine sex (78%). Smoking was found in 48% of cases which 90% of men. 33% were sedentary which 54% of women. 26% were obese, stage I in most cases and feminine sex in 61%. Diabetes was found in 23% of which 63% are women. 16% had dyslipidemia. 50% of women were menopausal. The majority of patients (80%) had at least two cardiovascular risk factors. The association Hypertension – diabetes was found in 20% of patients. Conclusion The modifiable cardiovascular risk factors depend directly on our habits and lifestyles. Sensitization and education are the first steps in the management of these risk factors. The reduction in the incidence of cardiovascular events and their recurrence is based on good control of these factors. The author hereby declares no conflict of interest
