Popis: | Explants of superior cervical ganglia from late fetal mouse were cultured for periods up to 64 days in Maximow slides. Well-differentiated neurons in the explants were shown by Nissl and silver staining methods. Catecholamine fluorescence and acetylcholinesterase reaction were also cytochemically detected in cultured sympathetic neurons. Electron microscopy revealed two different types of neurons, the principal ganglion cells and interneurons, as well as axodendritic and axosomatic synapses. |
