Popis: In the current era of highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART), the incidence of HIV dementia has declined, but the prevalence of HIV-associated neurocognitive disorder (HAND) remains high. HIV-induced systemic and localized inflammation is considered to be one of the mechanisms of HAND. Changes in cytokine levels in the blood serum during HIV infection might help to identify HAND. To investigate whether the cytokine profile of the blood serum during HIV infection could be used as a biomarker of HAND, we compared cytokine levels in the blood serum of HIV-infected cases [11]. We have studied the relationship between IL-2 and IL-10 indicators with variants of neurocognitive impairment manifestation. Depending on the presence of clinical manifestations of HIV dementia, a change in the production of cytokines, interleukin-2 and interleukin-10, was revealed. In HIV dementia, a decrease in the content of interleukin-2 (8.3 pg / ml) was noted, when this indicator in patients without dementia averaged 16.7 pg / ml, with P
