Habitat. Mesophytic and moist meadows and clearings in birch and mixed forests, sloping mesophytic steppes, in sparse mountain larch forest, as well as agricultural areas (Tchemeris et al. 1999); blueberry-green moss and grass-green moss spruce forests and spruce woodland, Abies sibirica forest, subalpine grass meadow, thickets of sedge near lakes and streams (in Katunsky Biosphere Reserve). Distribution. Holarctic (Tchemeris et al. 1999).
