Popis: | Large Ti-doped sapphire single crystals have been successfully grown by Kyroupolos technique for optical amplification. Without post growth annealing, the absorption and emission spectra do not show any presence of unwanted impurities. The obtained results indicate the possibilities to get crystals with homogeneous Ti3+ ion concentrations in large sections using this growth technique. |
