Popis: Nigerias position in Africa is strategic, with approximately 202 million people, high commerce and industrial hub (The World Bank, 2020). Justifiably, the high influx and outflow of people and goods to and fro Nigeria, can impact her health status and those of partner countries (Siedner et al., 2015). Although well respected amongst the committee of nations, Nigerias health system is plagued by many challenges. Dearth of data, non-incorporation of ICT, insecurity, mass displacement, lack of country-to-country collaboration, low government funding, and decaying health facilities are some of the challenges that fuel spontaneous disease outbreaks and sustained spread amongst the populace (Olumade et al .,2020; GHS index, 2019).The Nigerian health care system reflects its health investment over time. Factually, Nigeria is still under-budgeting her health sector ,notches less than the Abuja agreement, six years after (Olumade et al., 2020; Olatubi et al., 2018). Major disease outbreaks and spread have strongly been influenced by disease determinants and environmental drivers that range from (a) Globalization and environment, (b) Sociodemographic, to (c) Public health systems. Notwithstanding factors that propel diseases, infections of public health concerns are highly virulent and contagious: uncontrolled spreads always have potential national and international public health and security threat components.
