This paper attempts to study and explain how the digital economy affects the sustainable use of resources. World bank data is used for understanding the related variables. The time range of the data collected is every five years: from 1970 to 2010 measuring important indicators and an econometric model is developed. The natural logarithm of all variables was taken. It is found that the production of electricity from oil, gas, and coal sources has a satisfactory effect on sustainability because it increases significantly and as we know, it is considered non-renewable and may be depleted, as the increase in its use negatively affects sustainability. |
