Popis: | Monoamniotic twins are rare and have a high risk of mortality. Simultaneous nonstress test (NST) is a better predictor of perinatal mortality than serial biochemical assessments in multiple pregnancy. In this case, sinusoidal fetal heart rate patterns were noted at 36 weeks of gestation. Pregnancy was allowed to continue with frequently repeated NSTs. At 38 weeks of gestation, cesarean section was performed. Evaluation of placenta and membrane revealed a monoamniotic placenta. Each cord was knotted many times. The mother and neonates had benign postpartum courses. |
