Popis: | A comparative evaluation of bone marrow and serum calcium levels and their relation to the bone marrow and serum acid phosphatases were studied in 10 patients with benign prostatic hypertrophy and 23 patients with inoperable prostate cancer. None of the 33 patients had hypercalcemia at the time of the study. Calcium metabolism at the metastatic foci was discussed, and the marrow/serum calcium ratio is suggested as helpful in the staging of prostate and bladder cancer as an additional parameter. |
