Syn. nov. Unspecified type (s): ♀, Suriname [probably lost]. Phasma perspicillare, Gray, 1835: 24; De Haan, 1842: 123; Westwood, 1859: 117. Stratocles perspicillaris, Kirby, 1904a: 409. Remarks. Here we remove Phasma perspicillaris Stoll, 1813 from the synonymy of Paraphasma laterale and place it as a new synonym under Parastratocles xanthomela (see “Remarks” under Paraphasma laterale).
