Popis: | Mitotic counts carried out after administration of colchicine and autoradiography with tritiated thymidine show that after oral administration of ANIT to rats, a temporary depression occurs in the process of renewal of hepatocytes, ductal and littoral cells. The very pronounced increase of DNA synthesis and mitotic rate among ductal cells coincides with a marked multiplication of the number of bile ductules. This adds evidence to the view that newly formed bile ductules are derived from proliferation of pre-existing ductal epithelium. |
