Popis: Modification of alpha-biphenylsulfonamidocarboxylic acids led to potent and selective MMP-13 inhibitors. Compound 16 showed 100% oral bioavailability in rats and demonstrated50% inhibition of bovine cartilage degradation at 10 ng/mL.
