Hugot coll., det. Christopher Hodgson (CXMNC). PUBLISHED RECORDS IN NEW CALEDONIA. ��� Brun & Chazeau (1980). DISTRIBUTION IN NEW CALEDONIA. ��� All over the New Caledonian Archipelago. OTHER RECORDS. ��� Southern Europe, Australasia, South-East Asia, Indian Ocean, Eastern, northern and southern Africa, Pacific Ocean, Far East, Micronesia, central Pacific, North America. HOST- PLANTS IN NEW CALEDONIA. ��� Carica papaya (Brun & Chazeau 1980), recently found on Mangifera indi ca (Nicolas Hugot pers. comm.). NOTES. ��� Not recorded by Cohic during the fifties, so it was probably introduced after 1958. A common species on Papaya trees and rated as an economic pest.
