Popis: | The effect of moisture contamination on the dimensional accuracy of polyether impression materials is determined. The effect that moisture contamination might have on the dimensional accuracy of a commercial polyether impression material was studied. Accuracy was determined by measurement of the fit of a standardized gold casting on the die stone model constructed from impressions made of both dry and wet standardized steel models. In addition, impressions were subjected to 100% relative humidity and compared with those that set in a dry atmosphere. Within the conditions of the study, it seems that moisture does affect the dimensional accuracy of the polyether impression materials. |
