Popis: | In the layered structure of delafossite-type metal oxides ABO 2 , the B position can be occupied by a wide spectrum of trivalent or couples of divalent/tetravalent cations. In the A position, however, only monovalent, linearly coordinated cations are accommodated. This study focuses on the thermochemical reactivity of AgNi 0.5 Ti 0.5 O 2 and CuNi 0.5 Ti 0.5 O 2 in O 2 and H 2 . The influence of the A cation, i.e. Ag or Cu, on the course of thermally induced processes as well as on the product formation has been investigated by means of thermal analysis, mass spectrometry and X-ray diffraction. In dependence of the atmosphere, a variety of different solid products can be generated under well controlled conditions. |
