Popis: | The recoil proton dose in a body irradiated by fast neutrons is normally determined using a polythene phantom filled with a liquid simulating soft tissue. The perturbation to the dose by the presence of bone is considered for two parallel slabs of bone surrounded by tissue. Typical dose curves in bone and tissue of various thicknesses are illustrated for 14 Mev neutrons, and can readily be applied to neutrons of lower energyurbation on the recoil proton LET spectra is discussed. |
