Popis:	The purpose of this study is therefore to explore how sustainable tourism principles can be operationalized and incorporated into planning and monitoring practices. It is hypothesized that ad hoc development does not result in sustainable tourism. Laguna Phuket was used as an example of an integrated resort to calibrate the proposed evaluation framework, which was tested against three ad hoc beach resorts - Patong, Batu Ferringhi and Doson.
