Ralstonia mannitolilyticais an emerging opportunist pathogen reported in many healthcare facilities over the years. We report a case withR. mannitolilyticabacteraemia in breast carcinoma patient with chemo port. Identification of this non fermentative, Gram negative bacilli was done by Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization-Time of Flight Mass Spectrometry (MALDI TOF MS). A minireview of cases ofR. mannitolilyticabacteremia in the recent years with special reference to those reported in India is done. |
