Popis: Angiotensin II has been allowed to react with varying amounts of iodine under mild conditions (electrolytic iodination). The trosyl residue can be converted to monoiodotyrosyl with a minimal loss of the hormonal activity. On the contrary the diiodinated derivative is almost completely inactivated. The yields of monoiodinated and diiodinated angiotensin at increasing degress of iodination depend on the reaction pH. Under appropriate experimental conditions, it is possible to prepare radioiodine-labelled angiotensinm to act as a true tracer of the native one.
