| Popis: | From the model proposed by Johan Galtung, approached from the perspective of gender, the types of violence exerted on women who decide to file complaints of abuse in the Mexican state of Campeche are discussed. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with a non-random sample, Using categories with emerged from the interviews, we did a descriptive analysis using coding units, drawing conclusions based on frequency and relevance in the texts. The results highlight the importance of analyzing structural and cultural violence from a gender perspective; they also suggest that there are not mechanisms to disentangle the ways in which types of violence are interconnected. In addition, there are gender-based inhibitors on women to report. |
