Popis: | Bioimpedance spectroscopy with body composition model is a validated method to assess hydration and nutritional status in dialysis patients. The aim of this study is to compare quality of life, nutrition status and hydration status between hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis patients. There were 26 PD and 32 HD patients included in this study. Multifrequency bioimpedance spectroscopy were measured by BCM-body composition monitor (Fresenius medical care) device, the device provided body composition parameters including Lean Tissue index (LTI) Fat tissue index (FTI) and quantified over hydration status (OH). Quality of life was measured by WHO-QOL-BREF questionnaire. Scheffe’s test was used for comparison and p1.7 and all of the HD patients had weekly Kt/V>3.6. There were no differences in Charlson’s comobidity index, food intake, protein intake, BMI, blood pressure and quality of life between groups. LTI and FTI between PD (12.26+3.65, 10.79+5.84) and HD (11.48+3.48, 10.52+4.67) patients were not statistically different. PD patients had more over hydration when compare to HD patients (16.18+11.24 vs. 2.36+11.07%OH/ECW p |
