Sixteen months have passed since I had the honor of being appointed editor-in-chief of Revista Española de Enfermedades Digestivas (Spanish Journal of Gastroenterology) and thank the Spanish Society of Digestive Diseases (SEPD) for trusting me in this new phase of the REED history. Four months later, in November 2021, Dr Juan-Ramon Larrubia joined the Journal as deputy-editor. We thank the former editor-in-chief and deputy-editor Enrique Perez-Cuadrado and Javier Alvarez-Cienfuegos, respectively, their devoted work putting the journal on an upward trajectory since 2016, one year before the REED centenary, they set the bar very high1. |
