Popis: Among the socio-economic problems such as lack of awareness, competitiveness, financial problems, etc., the issue of selection and training of guides is of particular interest. The study reveals the features of the motivational and personal spheres and its components - value orientations, focus, activity, among guides with different work experience. Theoretical knowledge on the problem of the guide professional activity is systematized and generalized, their motivational characteristics are described. An empirical study showed that tour guides with different work experience are characterized by a fairly mature motivational activity, which is based on internal significant motives, taking into account their own interests, abilities and aspirations. Less experienced guides strive for personal growth and self-improvement, strive to set more complex goals and objectives, be in demand by society, and also gain recognition from other people, unlike guides with a long work experience who want to be creative, receive a decent reward for their work and strive to diversify their professional activities. The results and conclusions will be useful for the selection of personnel and the development of training programs for guides.
