Popis: | Summary NF ointment produces erythema in normal and non-active rheumatoid arthritis cases, while with rheumatoid activity there develops an absence of such reaction.NF erythema is modified by prior application of DPN ointment. In cases where NF produces erythema, DPN reduces the intensity of such reaction. In very active rheumatoid cases, where NF ointment does not produce erythema, the prior application of DPN ointment produces a faint redness. The modification of the NF test by DPN ointment corroborates the view that the function and status of DPN is intimately involved in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis. |
