Popis:	SUMMARY.— The differential diagnosis of umbilical granulomata is discussed. Eighteen cases of talc granuloma of the umbilicus have been examined; 13 were basically pyogenic granulomata and 5 umbilical polyps. It is submitted that treatment of the raw umbilical stump with talc or starch is a practice that should be discontinued and replaced by some application that is both non-irritant and sterile.
