Popis:	We prove the non existence of a self adjoint phase operator for systems with a finite number of degrees of freedom and for systems with an infinite number of degrees of freedom but enclosed in a finite box. We explicitely construct an example of a phase operator for an infinitely extended Bose system with condensation and give an application of this construction to a simple model.
