Popis: This paper concerns the modeling of passive eddy currents rings for fail-safe electromagnetic active suspension applications. Isogeometric analysis is employed for the space modeling method since it presents numerous advantages for describing complex geometrical shapes and computing electromagnetic fields distributions. A frequency-domain model is proposed to compute the nonlinear steady-state solution of the eddy currents damping due to the motion of a permanent magnet array. The resulting multiharmonic solver is more computationally efficient than its transient counterpart and is advantageously applied to design optimization.
