Popis: For many years, clinical, epidemiologic, and basic research has been performed in an attempt to determine the cause of urinary incontinence and the pathophysiology of associated lower urinary tract dysfunction. Although the body of knowledge has grown significantly in the last 2 decades, it is becoming increasingly apparent that urinary incontinence is not a simple isolated disorder of the lower urinary tract but rather a complex multifactorial condition with numerous causes.
