Popis: | In an extension of the study outlined in the preceding paper (3)) an investigation was made of the relative rates of incorporation of orally ingested C14-carboxy-labeled palmitic, oleic, stearic, and linoleic acids into the individual lipides of the rat liver. The results of these experiments are presented here. In addition, observations on the interconversions of these particular fatty acids, within the limits posed by use of carboxy labeling, are outlined and the effect of these interconversions on the apparent incorporation of ingested fatty acids into lipides is reported. |
