Popis: Right ventricular dysfuction is the most significant cardiovascular effect of pulmonary hypertension. A variety of techniques to evaluate right ventricular dysfuction have been examined. but, due to the complex geometry of the right ventricle, the optimal method has yet to be established. Vasodilator therapy has been shown to be beneficial in improving cardiovascular function in some patients. Echocardiography holds promise in evaluating response to therapy nonivasively.
