Popis: | This article reports on the effective use of a single session of eye movement desensitization (EMD) in the treatment of an exceptionally severe case of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The patient was the survivor of burns that left him with massive scarring, total deafness, bilateral amputations of the upper extremities above the elbow, severe contractures, and severely damaged feet and ankles. He had endured 8 years of intense suffering from symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder. |
