Shock detection finds its application in the transport and storage of products in the supply chain as a measurable indicator of the product's condition. The level of damage done after the shock occurrence in the supply chain depends on various factors, one of which is the angle of impact. A challenge when detecting a packet shock occurs if the impact angle is not known, and it is not possible to assess whether the packet fell at a sharp or a slight angle, which affects the level of damage. This paper presents an estimation of the package damage after shock occurrence based on measured accelerometer values. An algorithm for roll and pitch angles calculation is presented to estimate the impact angle of the package. Depending on the measured shock values and the impact angle, the assessment of package conditions during the transport and storage of the product is possible. |
