Popis: | Iotonchus coomansi Baqri et al., 1978 is considered a junior synonym of Coomansus parvus (de Man, 1880). I. zschokkei (Menzel, 1913) is redescribed from topotypes and transferred to Coomansus; a neotype is designated. I. simmenensis (Kreis, 1924) is redescribed from recent specimens and also transferred to Coomansus; it differs from C. zschokkei by a much more slender body, thinner cuticle, shape of vaginal sclerotisation, shorter tail and more rounded and differently structured terminus. The "large form of zschokkei" is described as a new species Coomansus menzeli. The species described by Eroshenko (1975) are reviewed; the five species described under Iotonchus are transferred to Coomansus. A key to the zschokkei-group is given. Mononchus major Cobb, 1893 is transferred to Coomansus. M. major apud Meyl, 1955 is redescribed and considered identical with C. kastrolli (Altherr, 1958). A key to the large species of Coomansus, not belonging to the zschokkei-group, is given. Coomansus sphagni (Brzeski, 1960) is redescribed from topotypes and transferred to Iotonchus. A neotype is designated. This species is close to I. vorax (Cobb, 1917) but differs from it in the shape of the head and of the internal vaginal sclerotization. |
