Popis: | Serum-cholesterol levels in blood-samples obtained from healthy men and women living in South Wales tended to be slightly higher in people of blood-group A than in those of group O, B, or AB. Concentrations were also slightly higher in individuals who were Le (a+) compared with those who were Le (a-) . These differences show an inverse correlation with the genetic factors associated with the appearance of intestinal alkaline phosphatase in the serum and suggest that these intestinal factors may in part affect serum-cholesterol concentration. |
