Popis: | The article presents the results of mathematical modelling of the natural ventilation system of a residential five-story building. The results of the field experiments of other researchers describing the general problems have been considered in it. The main problem highlighted in the article is the incorrect operation of the centralised systems of natural ventilation in most residential buildings. The paper describes the peculiarities and patterns of the distribution of air flows in the assembled air ducts and satellite air ducts of the natural ventilation systems obtained as results of mathematical modelling of the assembled air shaft with five satellite ducts. The pressure differentials between the mouth of the assembled shaft and exhaust grills were taken as boundary conditions when designing the mathematical model. The survey of the research works of domestic and foreign specialists has been carried out and the developments in the field of the natural ventilation and the ventilation of residential buildings in general are presented. The mathematical model and the results obtained in the process of modelling have been considered. The obtained results and conclusions may be applied to taller buildings as well. |
